bonesandtheaft are: a band like no other, sometimes described as Primal Rock Theatre, resplendant in homemade costumes, elaborate pop–up stage sets, stark state-of-the-nation storytelling and virtuoso musicianship.

bonesandtheaft are: drummer Admiral Lord Biscuit, formerly with Ivich Lives, the Doctors of Love, Florence &The Machine, Rum Shebeen and many others.. Guitarist Ian Mckean made his name in the eighties with Generation X offshoot and WEA signed Twenty Flight Rockers and later the Virgin signed Balaam and the Angel. Vocalist John Bently is the provider of words, costumes and hand painted sets, best known for his long running series of art in book form, the Liver & Lights Chronicle.

bonesandtheaft are: these books brought to life, by three fearlessly entertaining, memorably passionate performers, currently joined live by the award winning flautist and one man band Bird Radio.

“John Bently declaims his compelling poetry while guitarist Ian Mckean and drummer David Beschizza fearlessly zigzag through punk anger and energy, progressive time shifts and classical guitar transcriptions of Alexander Scriabin. Exciting stirrings from the literary and musical DIY underground” FRoots magazine

“Folk-horror of the darkest hue…his voice soaring like Scott Walker… Bird Radio fulfils his early promise as a musical storyteller of rare power.” Steve Hunt, fRoots

An empty diner, 2:13am. Synthesised dreams, after-hours. This is our sunset, baby.
